The evaluation of the event was conducted through an offline questionnaire. The participants were asked to rate their satisfaction with the event on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being  the highest. The average satisfaction rate was 3.82 out of 5, indicating a generally positive response. The expected number of responses was 106, but the actual number of responses received was 46, resulting in a response rate of 43.40%.  The questionnaire addressed various aspects, including rating the sessions, content, facilitation, tailored needs, and achievement of objectives in the ID Forum. Participants were also asked to highlight their favourite aspects of the event, provide suggestions for improvement in logistics, content, and facilitation, and share thoughts on enhancing inclusivity. The ID Forum team welcomed any additional thoughts participants wished to share.
1. How would you rate the sessions of ID Forum?
Overall, participants appreciated certain aspects of the ID Forum but expressed the need for improvements in inclusivity, session design, and flexibility to foster more meaningful exchanges and practical learning opportunities.
 
Suggested improvements:
  • More time should be allocated for field visits.
  • Focus on content from experts and participants.
  • Enhance the inclusivity and accessibility of sessions, considering the needs of all participants.

2. How would you rate the Logistics OF the ID forum?
The comments highlighted issues with venue accessibility, communication clarity, and duration of the event. Accommodation and logistics received positive feedback, although some improvements were suggested for meal options. Participants appreciated the organisers' efforts but recommended more inclusive practices and considerations for sustainability.

Observations:
  • Some participants commended the organisation, logistics, and venue convenience.
  • Accessibility, inclusion, and sustainability concerns were raised regarding venue selection and travel options.

3. How would you overall rate the content of the ID ForuM? 
Average satisfaction rate:  3.72
Participants found the content of the event generally satisfactory and relevant. However, there were requests for a greater emphasis on substantive content, improved accessibility in venue design, and a more authentic approach. The desire for more learning opportunities, examples of good practices, and accessibility to event materials was also expressed.


General remarks:
  • The overall consensus was that the content of the event was sufficient and relevant.
  • The content was generally considered interesting and meaningful, providing different perspectives from people working in the same field.

4. How would you rate the facilitation in this event?
Average satisfaction rate:  3.72
The facilitators received appreciation for their efforts in managing the event, creating a welcoming environment, and motivating participants. However, there were concerns about suitability, communication clarity, and the need for improvement in providing clear instructions and involving everyone. The importance of diversity in the facilitators team and a balance between substance and well-being in the facilitation approach were also highlighted.

  • The facilitators team was generally praised for their ability to handle the challenges of facilitating such a large event, balancing time, inspiring participants, and staying focused.
  • However, some participants felt that the facilitation was not suitable for everyone, and there were concerns about the clarity of communication and the approach to reflection times.

5. Do you think ID Forum was enough tailored to your needs?
Average satisfaction rate:  3.54

The comments highlight the importance of addressing participants' needs by offering more in-depth content, training methodologies, and practical applications. There is also a need for consistent adjustments, quiet spaces, and a safe environment that caters to diverse needs and sensitivities.

  • Some participants expressed the need for more in-depth exploration of critical aspects of inclusion and diversity, as well as additional training methodologies to actively involve participants.
  • Overall, despite varying expectations, it was mentioned that the forum provided valuable and interesting learning experiences for both personal and professional development.

6. How would you rate the following aspects regarding participation and collaboration?
While participants valued networking opportunities and made connections, there were concerns about the lack of time, crowded spaces, and a dispersed focus in the forum. The intensity of the program and the need for better networking activities were highlighted, along with a desire for more inclusive and reflective discussions. Efforts to enhance networking, provide clearer information about participants, and create opportunities for meaningful interaction could contribute to more effective cooperation and engagement in future events.

Observations:
  • Participants appreciated the networking opportunities and made deep connections with some individuals.
  • The intensity of the program resulted in missed activities for some participants, and there was a sense of inequity between the experiences of disabled and non-disabled individuals.
  • Some felt that more time, particularly unofficial time outside the program, was needed for real connection and interaction between participants.

7. Do you think ID Forum reached its objectives?
Participants acknowledged the forum's potential for exchange, inspiration, and celebration but expressed concerns about the authenticity and focus of the celebration aspect. There were suggestions to include more discussions on challenges, solutions, and future advocacy. Participants valued the networking opportunities and the inspiration derived from others' practices and projects. Enhancing the forum's ability to walk the talk and practise what it preaches would contribute to better achieving its objectives.

Observations:
  • A few participants expressed a preference for less time dedicated to celebration.
  • Participants found the forum to be a space for exchange and inspiration.
  • Suggestions were made to include discussions on challenges, solutions, and advocacy for future developments.

8. What were your highlights in this event? What did you like about it?
The forum's positive aspects revolved around the connections made, the exchange of ID stories, engaging workshops and field visits, networking opportunities, and the overall atmosphere created by the participants and organisers. The forum provided a valuable platform for learning, sharing, and building relationships in the field of inclusion and diversity.

Main insights:
  • The highlight for many participants was the connections made and the realization that there are more things that connect us than keep us apart.
  • The multidisciplinary group of participants and the sharing of ID stories allowed for a better understanding of inclusion work.
​9. WHAT SHOULD BE IMPROVED IN FUTURE EVENTS (REGARDING LOGISTICS, CONTENT, FACILITATION, ETC.)?
The suggested improvements for future events include considerations related to logistics (such as providing more free time, improving accessibility, and managing event duration), content (such as incorporating targeted stories and practical examples), and facilitation (such as enhancing communication, inclusivity, and reflection). By addressing these areas, future events can be more effective, inclusive, and engaging for participants.

  • Provide more free time for participants.
  • Ensure accessibility for all participants and be flexible to accommodate various needs.
  • Consider reducing the number of participants to enhance networking and sharing of practical examples.
  • Involve a more diverse group of participants, including those with disabilities, in the design stage of the event.
10. HOW COULD WE IMPROVE THE INCLUSIVITY OF THE ID FORUM?
To improve the inclusivity of the ID Forum, suggestions include increasing representation, ensuring accessibility, promoting diversity, and being culturally sensitive. By implementing these recommendations, future events can create a more inclusive and diverse environment for participants.

Suggested improvements:
  • Increase the representation of individuals with disabilities or fewer opportunities in the Forum and other European programs.
  • Provide basic accessibility needs for all participants and consult experts or advisory groups to ensure an inclusive experience.
  • Analyse the needs of participants during the event and adapt the content accordingly.
​11. DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER THOUGHTS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH THE ID FORUM TEAM?
In summary, participants expressed gratitude for the organisation and inclusive nature of the ID Forum while also highlighting areas for improvement and suggestions for a more practical and concrete approach to inclusivity and diversity.  It was recognised that the ID Forum was well thought out and largely achieved its objectives despite the sensitivity and complexities of the topic.

Participants had an overwhelmingly positive experience at the ID Forum, expressing inspiration, learning, and appreciation for the inclusive and diverse environment created. The testimonials highlighted the event's success, the opportunity for networking and sharing ideas, and the desire for collaboration among participants. While some negative feedback was mentioned, the focus was placed on the positive outcomes and the value gained from attending the forum.
